Daily KOS reveals (as originally reported by Josh Marshall) how FOX News blatantly misreported Dick Clarke's testimony:
"You've got a real credibility problem," John Lehman, former Navy secretary under President Reagan, told Clarke, calling the witness "an active partisan selling a book."
Clarke responded: "I don't think it's a question of morality at all, I think it's a question of politics." |
As KOS then explains:
As anyone who followed the testimony could tell you, this wasn't Clarke's response to Lehman, it was the response he gave several minutes later to a different question posed by Lehman's fellow Republican, former Illinois Governor Jim Thompson. |
A reader of legitimate news media should not have to wonder (in a perfect world) if he/she is reading the truth. I could never use Fox News as a source of information because, as this and countless other Fox News reports prove, this organization DISTORTS the truth. Unfortunately, unless you are in the extreme minority of Americans that include blogs and independent internet news media as significant sources of their daily news, you are only getting warped information that currently is driven by the Bush Administration and the religious right.
The rest of the free world is sitting back, shaking its collective head, and wondering when we are going to come to our senses and grow up, before the PNAC Cartel leads us careening into the apocalypse.
