Florida Tries to Compete with Arizona
Boneheads... Florida competing with Arizona for the nuttiest state legislature... Republican controlled of course! New law forcing women who were raped to watch and pay for their ultrasounds. And they are working on stopping bestiality. Doing the important work to keep honest, law abiding, church going people safe! What a waste of tax payer's money!

I guess you could call this Corporate Karma:
| Wal-Mart to face class action lawsuit alleging discrimination against women employees Staff - AP News Apr 26, 2010 13:39 EDT A divided federal appeals court in San Francisco says Wal-Mart Stores Inc. must face a massive class-action lawsuit that claims the world's largest private employer discriminates against women workers. The 6-5 ruling by the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Monday exposes the retailer based in Bentonville, Ark., to billions in damages if it loses the case at trial. The lawsuit was filed in 2001 and includes more than 1 million current and former workers. The lawsuit alleges that Wal-Mart pays women less then men for the same jobs and that female employees receive fewer promotions and have to wait longer for those promotions than male counterparts. One phrase that irks me more than anything is, "It's deja vu all over again." Hmmm, haven't I complained about that before?

Nice interview. I can't think of a more qualified person to lead this state out of its economic tailspin. You know, he looks a bit like the guy in the post below....

| "We really ask a lot of our young service people out on the checkpoints because there's danger, they're asked to make very rapid decisions in often very unclear situations. However, to my knowledge, in the nine-plus months I've been here, not a single case where we have engaged in an escalation of force incident and hurt someone has it turned out that the vehicle had a suicide bomb or weapons in it and, in many cases, had families in it. That doesn't mean I'm criticizing the people who are executing. I'm just giving you perspective. We've shot an amazing number of people and killed a number and, to my knowledge, none has proven to have been a real threat to the force." - - - Gen. Stanley McChrystal |
Wow. Did I ever mention that war is fucked?
