Bits and Pieces for the Week of Decemeber 13 - 19

I've been reminded many times this year that my dissing of the Obama Administration makes me a bad Democrat. Well, can someone explain to me how I'm supposed to lay down and accept this? (Mike)

One wonders if the Senate will totally fuck up, like they did with the Healthcare bill, this stimulus bill just passed by the House. (Mike)

Paul Krugman has weighed in favor on the current health care bill. So this bill would be the first sign of progress... then readjust it later? How the fuck is that going to happen with republi-cons (lets not forget the real enemy to America) always voting NO! 5 years - 10 years down the line... I realize the bill in its current state will help millions, in the mean time it will bankrupt millions with mandatory health care at set insurance prices... all the while big pharma and the health care industry is getting government subsidies (continuing to get rich off the backs of Americans who cannot afford it)? Say NO to the bill now. I stand with Dr. Dean!! (7 of 6)

Oh well.... So much for the government's promise to reimburse taxpayers with profits made by selling gov't shares of Citigroup. (Mike)

There is still hope... I got notice last night that PDA (Progressive Democrats of America) wants everyone to contact your Senators... "This is it, Medicare for All, single-payer advocates. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced tonight that tomorrow the Senate will hear several more amendments to the health reform bill and one of those amendments is Sen. Bernie Sanders single-payer amendment No. 2837. The amendment also has two other original co-sponsors, Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Sen. Roland Burris of Illinois." (7 of 6) UPDATE: Republi-cons (Tom Coburn) blocked it with a procedural move.

After Rahm Emmanuel convinced Senate Majority Leader Reid to cave into Joe Lieberman's demands on the healthcare bill... Howard Dean says kill it. I side with Howard Dean. (7 of 6)

Lovely... more freaks from Arizona to write about. Top Arizona Republican Accused of Using Voter Database to Stalk Woman. (7 of 6)

Sheriff Joe has got to go!! He is killing Maricopa County monetarily with his political stunts. Now Arpaio has hired a former Bush Dept of Justice official to stall the Federal probes. Dude, get back to protecting the community... stop playing politics with the Sheriff's Office, you're nothing more than a glorified jailer! (7 of 6)
