According to a P.P.P. poll, 6% of Americans think that not only was Obama NOT born in the U.S., but also that he WAS born in Hawaii. (Mike)
If Obama is not listening to Elizabeth Warren and Nouriel Roubini he is delivering nothing but smoke and mirrors for his economic reform. Nouriel Roubini and the Phantom Recovery. (7 of 6)

I find it hilarious Dick Armey is claiming Obama is going to exaggerate the H1N1 flu virus... “In September or October there will be a hyped up outbreak of the swine flu..." Armey seems to forget that WHO has already declared it a Pandemic with 88% of the deaths on the North American continent! (7 of 6)

The Terminator in action! 800,000 California children will lose health insurance only because of Gov. Groperzenegger's line-item veto of Healthy Families funding. (Mike)

7 of 6: You forgot to mention the fair&balanced report from the global cooling experts. Remember, science reports don't have to be correct, as long as they balance out the facts.

Oh yeah, that's what we need, more Ivory Tower Idiots in charge.
I do follow Nouriel Roubini. I suppose the easy sell is fear right now. Heck, we've had 10 years of a long-term bear market now. Much like 1966-1982. Everything peaked in 1999, and stuff has been falling apart from two bubbles. We probably still have a ways to go. But like all bear periods, there will be expansions in the midst. Which is where we are now.

Looks like the Australians are willing to chance it.
In a potential preview for America, the Australian Senate has just defeated that country's version of cap-and-trade by a vote of 42-30.
The bill was defeated because there is now serious disagreement in Australia on the very existence of human-caused global warming. That's the backbone behind the collapse of what was supposed to be bipartisan agreement. As Senator Nick Minchin put it in a blistering speech opposing the bill, "this whole extraordinary scheme, which would do so much damage to Australia, is based on the as yet unproven assertion that anthropogenic emissions of CO2 are the main driver of global warming.... The Rudd government arrogantly refuses to acknowledge that there remains a very lively scientific debate about the extent of and the main causes of climate change, with thousands of highly reputable scientists around the world of the view that anthropogenic emissions of CO2 are not and cannot be the main driver of the small degree of global warming that occurred in the last 30 years of the 20th century."
