I think the fact that 70% of black voters in California supported anti-gay-marriage Proposition 8 needs analysis. Is it because of religious reasons, historical reasons or something else? I find it contradictory when an oppressed group turns around and oppresses a non-related group (as opposed to blacks trying to oppress Hispanics and visa-versa). Is black prejudice against gays taught as a traditional family value, or is it entrenched in the black culture in some other form? (Mike)
