Bits and Pieces for the Week of June 10 - 16

Update on those disappearing bees (Mike)

The people asked Reid to talk to bu$h about the Iraq War in general. Not about the Generals in the Iraq war. Update: According to Bob Geiger, Reid said it to Pace's face (7 of 6)

This one's a keeper: Jon Stewart, using "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" schtik, shows how al Qaeda has become our friend. (Mike)

Connecticut school teacher who was convicted of "inadvertently" displaying porn in the classroom (because she was too stupid to unplug the computer) gets a new trial (Mike)

I loved this headline: "GAO Tells VA To Improve Executive Bonus Process". How about: "GAO Tells VA Executives NO More Bonuses". (7 of 6)

OMG, Reid and Pelosi ask bu$h "To Listen To The Will Of The American People On Iraq". Nothing like a firm voice, being drowned out by a 12 year old pResident with his fingers in his ears going, Na-Na-Na-Na. (7 of 6)

Stephen Colbert's interview of Tommy Chong is possibly the funniest bit I've ever seen on the show. (Mike)

Nothing surprises me anymore. The Army admits it dumped 64 million pounds of nerve and mustard agents , 400,000 chemical-filled bombs and 500 tons of radioactive waste into the ocean. How sad is that? (7 of 6)

Kucinich will likely never be President, but thank goodness he reads the fine print for the rest of us. (Mike)

A vivid example of the dangers of using a phone while driving (watch video) (Mike)

Arianna Huffington has a nice piece on the continued presence of the Dino Dems in congress. The article explains why the Democrats need to get their head out of their ass and start voting for their constituents and mainly, show a spine. (7 of 6)

No time like the present to start saving Veteran's lives. I now know why, I can't buy a gun. (7 of 6)

Oops, here's one federal court Bush forgot to "fix". (Mike)

First, we train the Iraqi's how to fight and kill American soldiers. Now we are arming them? This is making more sense all the time. NOT! (7 of 6)

Arming the Sunnis accomplishes two things: it prolongs the war and creates more customers for arms sales. Both of these will increase the profits of the U.S. arms manufacturers, among others. Quite the shrewd (evil, but shrewd) decision, I must say.

Next, we might as well arm the Kurds to prolong their freedom fight against the Turks and the rest the hostile Iraqis.

Yes, pure evil exists, it's called the bu$h/cheney cabal!

BTW, the trip went great. I'll send some pictures along soon.
