7 of 6, thanks to your gov for addressing the issue of women in the military and sexual assault. I'm appalled at the numbers. My god. But I don't know if Gates is the right person to ask to look into it. You know what, Hillary would be a good person to address it.

Nah, no one wants to make the military look bad while we're trying to support the troops, do they? Drives me nuts.

coyote, You and I have known about this for a long, long time. In fact we wrote about it at Low and Left.
I think the crimes are just being acknowledged by public officials because of the popularity of it. Notice it came out after the Tillman and Lynch hearings in front of congress.

That said, it is great that she came forward.
