Hollywood movie studios are experiencing a box office sales slump. I wonder why. Could it be because movie patrons are finally starting to get weary of sitting through 15-20 minutes of previews and commercials?
Yes. Wake up, theater owners. By advertising your business to your own customers, you're driving them away.
Commercial TV is free because the advertisers pay. I'd be more likely to go to movie theaters if the tickets were free or priced to reflect the fact that customers are forced to sit through commercials for movies. $10-12 per ticket is unreasonable, unless they strip the previews/commercials. Besides, they make a killing at the concessions stands.
