Don't Let "4" Become a Despised Number
The slaughter of American soldiers and Iraqis continues unabated, the price of oil (and thus gasoline and heating oil) continues marching upward, the housing market is skidding to a stop, tens of thousands of Americans are unnecessarily going to die from the flu this winter, Osama B. L. is still out there somewhere, stocks are slumping, inflation is on the verge of returning, health insurance costs continue their incessant double-digit climb, schools are rapidly shrinking their budgets, minimum wage increases are on hold, unemployment benefits payout periods are decreasing, federal low-income housing benefits are shrinking, Earth is getting warmer, higher education is becoming less-affordable, the job market is shrinking, the news media no longer reports objectively, millions are falling into poverty, fish are too dangerous to eat, and the air I breathe and the water I drink are now classified as toxic. Oh, and voting tabulation is now less secure than ever. And that's just in the past three-and-a-half years.
What will our lives be like in 4 years if we allow Bush to remain in the White House?
