I received another e-letter today from the AFA. They ask us to call our Representative to do such-and-such. I've taken the liberty of "correcting" the text:

Dear Mike, (Please forward this to your friends and family) There are 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Would you please make one phone call to help keep marriage [from] being between [only] one man and one woman? Call your Representative and ask him or her to vote [against] for the Federal Marriage Amendment that will define marriage as being between a man and a woman and will prohibit homosexual marriage. The FMA is scheduled to be voted on by the House soon. We have a good possibility that the House will vote for the FMA despite the fact that it was filibustered by the Democrats in the Senate. If it passes in the House, it will go back to the Senate. Click here to get the direct phone number of your Representative. There are even some local numbers listed. Or, you can reach your Representative through the capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121. If he or she is listed as being "unknown" ask them to vote [against] for the FMA. If he or she is listed as being a co-sponsor (which means they are for the FMA) or supports, [don't] thank them. Would you please call today? Thanks. Working together we can work wonders!
