Police take more than 10 minutes on average to respond to emergency calls, up nearly three minutes from 2000 despite a larger overall police force.
The report issued to a City Council committee on the police work schedule found that the average emergency response time so far this year is 10.5 minutes, up from 7.7 minutes in 2000 and 9.6 minutes last year.
